How do I connect my cell phone to my computer for downloading purposes?

I bought a cheap software disc & patch cord to connect my phone to the computer. The software disc was downloaded, but my computer doesn't reckognize my phone. I have put in the proper model number, but I can't get any results. Other than buying the over-priced products from Cingular/AT&T, what can I do to get this working properly?

Try searching for the drivers on the net.

If the program you have doesn't have the correct drivers it wont work.

Do a google search on Your phone model with the word drivers after it then look to see if you can find a site to download them.

Take the program back to where you bought it and tell them it doesn't work and you want your money back.

when you purchased your phone you should have recieved that usb cable try using it and if you dont have that then use blue tooth device ! .. actually which model do you have and brand?
