How do I make an international phone call?

Quick question: How do I make an international phone call to a friends cell phone in Brazil if they do not have international calling access? Is there anyway to do this so I can be charged for the entire amount? I am calling from the United States. Thanks!

If they don't have international calling access and they are in Brazil - you can't call them. When you are outside the U.S. you have to have a special chip in your phone that allows phone calls. If they don't have it, it won't work.

If you do happen to get through, they will be charged for an incoming international call.

011 + Country Code + City Code + Phone Number

To call Brazil from the US:

011 55 (City Code) + (Number)

To find country and city codes, go here ->

If you need a cheap phone card, try -> http://speedypin.com/phone/cards/Brazil
