Any tips for reviving a phone that was submerged in water?

So i was thrown into a pool last night with my phone in my pocket. Needless to say it's not working today. Some people blow dried it for me, but i guess that didn't work. The little indicator on the battery is pink, which i know is a bad sign. Is there anything i can do to revive it? And if not anyone know of a good, not too expensive phone for verizon?

Take the battery out, soak the phone (without battery) in distilled water (available from Walmart or grocery stores), then let it dry for a few days. You may have to replace the battery.

Water doesn't hurt the electronics. It is impurities in the water that can cause damage. That is why you soak it in distilled water.

Soaking for 24 hours would be best, but unless you can unplug and remove the speaker and microphone (which you probably can't) you will have to settle for a quick swish and then shake it out.

open up the phone, and take out the battery put in in a warm tempature to dry for at least a few hours, then reput it together. If that doesn't work maybe you could replace the battery with a new one. Or, verizon has a lot of free phones, and they vary by specials, you can catch a lot of the samsungs and the razrs for free on the website... i would have fun throwing whoever threw me in the pool.. eye for an eye. good luck! lol.

take the battery out immediately...do not attempt to keep powering the phone on...put the phone in a bowl of rice to absorb moisture and the battery...even using a hairdryer on a low setting and airing it out can help...but the phone may never come back so don't expect a miracle...do this for at least 24 hours...
